B’Elanna

It is raining today, so we will not go sailing. That made me think I should introduce myself today.

I am B’Elanna, I will soon have my first birthday, and even though I am still so young, I have already experienced quite a lot.

First I was abandoned in the forest and became very ill. That is why I grabbed my new dad’s trousers right away, so he would never let me go again. Well, maybe I would not even have needed to do that, because when the strange mum found me, she almost cried. That is how sweet I was! Mmh… I am still sweet, only my smile has grown bigger.

Dad is a sailor and the strange mum wants to become one too, so for the past two weeks we have been living on a big sailing boat. Before that, we were with my grandpa Bigj on a 6.5 m Van de Stadt. That was tight!

If you fell asleep under the window when it was raining, you were already showered by morning. We cooked there too, right next to our bed, and there was no toilet. The boat, which we call Odessa, was really wonderful! Small, but lovely.

That is how we lived for a few months until my grandpa became very ill and we went back ashore for a while. Sadly, grandpa did not get better and left us a short time later. We miss him very much; he was the best grandpa in the world!

Then we found Kirana and moved again. At first I was not quite sure whether I would like it. My world was rocking.

The things these strange humans come up with… living on the water… Where is that supposed to lead?

Swimming is my favourite hobby. I am a real Malisharkigator and, of course, also the head of security on board. Who could possibly be better suited than me?

At the moment I am also captain, admittedly only of the dinghy, but no master ever fell from the sky.
