We deliberately keep this website data-minimised. The website functions described here use no cookies and require no consent banner. We use no visitor or session ID, no identifier in local or session storage, and no fingerprinting.

Page-view statistics

For each public page view, your browser sends only the page path without query parameters or referrer and a new random ID for that single view to an endpoint on sailing-kirana.life. Our server transiently forwards the current page path, language, IP address and complete user agent to our central Ad Management at manage.cgnetsphere.org.

The central system derives country, device class, operating system and browser. It then discards the IP address and complete user agent; neither is stored. No visitor profile or recurring identifier is stored. The random ID is used only to prevent the same technical view from being counted twice.

Advertising

Subtle ads may appear on the home page and at the end of logbook posts. Selection happens through our own server. Ads are not personalised and use no cookies, visitor ID or fingerprint. An impression is counted only after at least 50 percent of the ad has been visible continuously for one second. A click passes through our own endpoint before redirecting to the stored HTTPS destination.

Banner images remain on manage.cgnetsphere.org. The browser loads them without cookies, credentials or a referrer. As with every internet connection, the technically necessary IP address and user agent are transmitted; they are not stored as a usage profile for image delivery.

External content and links

Videos and other external content are not embedded automatically. We show an ordinary link instead. Only when you open it do you leave our website, and the privacy terms of that provider then apply.

Hosting and server logs

The hosting provider may keep technically necessary server logs. Where configuration allows, we minimise them and do not use them for visitor profiles, advertising or personal analysis.
